Historic Launceston Sitting of State Parliament
Both Houses of the Tasmanian Parliament will have an historic sitting in Launceston as part of celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of parliamentary democracy in the State. Members of the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council would convene at the Albert Hall from October 17-19 for the first sitting of the Tasmanian Parliament ever to take place outside Hobart.
